Certified professionals help families navigate the life-changing experience of bringing home a new baby. They provide emotional support, evidence-based information, practical knowledge, and a calming presence so you can experience the best possible version of new parenthood.
To be best prepared, we recommend taking a breastfeeding education class around 34 weeks of pregnancy. By taking a class prior to birth, you will gain a better understanding of how your hormones play a factor in successful breastfeeding and how to navigate breastfeeding the first 12 weeks. After birth, we will assign you a breastfeeding specialist to offer you further assistance if needed. We can answer any questions you may have.
We do! Not only do we offer a breastfeeding education class to get you prepared for successful breastfeeding, but we also offer pregnancy support specialists to offer in-home or virtual support. Register for a class here or reach out to talk with one of our specialists!
Yes, our team of breastfeeding specialists come with years of experience supporting families that choose to breastfeed. Our certified specialists have spent many years increasing their knowledge and education to provide the best care and resources for our youth.
Because we understand the importance of breastfeeding and how challenging it can be, we don’t want finances to determine if you get help. Breastfeeding support with Sunnyside Up Youth Pregnancy Services is free to pregnant youth that enroll and complete our breastfeeding class. We rely on and accept donations to pay our educators and specialists. Sign up for breastfeeding class here.
We do! We will assign you a breastfeeding specialist to help you learn how to properly breastfeed, navigate challenges, provide resources and answer your questions. Please be sure to sign up for a breastfeeding class prior to your due date.
We will never pressure you to breastfeed. Our goal is to educate you on the benefits of breastfeeding and how it affects you and your baby’s health and well- being. If you choose not to breastfeed, we offer a formula feeding class to help you choose the best formula for your baby and how to properly prepare formula. Sign up for a class here.
